Virtual Vision Health and VirtuaLens Forge Strategic Partnership to Expand Access to Diagnostic Eye Care and Patient Education Tools

Joint effort focuses on making VR eye care solutions accessible to more providers and patients.

Miami, FL – September 9, 2025 – Virtual Vision Health, a leader in virtual reality (VR) eye care technology, and VirtuaLens, a pioneer in immersive cataract patient education, today announced a strategic partnership to expand access to and accelerate adoption of VR screening and patient education tools.

“This collaboration amplifies our ability to deliver thoughtful advancements for clinicians and patients,” said Matteo Ziff, CEO and Co-Founder of Virtual Vision Health. “We’re grateful to VirtuaLens for their trust and partnership in bringing our shared vision to life. Together, we are redefining the future of eye care diagnostics and education worldwide.”

The Virtual Eye™ VR platform from Virtual Vision Health redefines traditional diagnostic vision screening by delivering an untethered, all-in-one solution with tests for visual fields, progression analysis, color sensitivity, visual acuity, and more.

Inspired by Virtual Vision’s proven VR technology, the VirtuaLens™ IOL Simulator delivers an immersive “try-on” experience that transforms cataract patient education. Designed for cataract and refractive surgeons, it bridges the gap between complex lens explanations and true patient understanding—helping patients see, compare, and confidently choose the lens best suited to their lifestyle. It complements Virtual Vision’s portfolio of accurate, reliable pre- and post-operative screening tools for providers, creating a unified VR ecosystem for diagnostics and education.

With the aging population driving a surge in cataract cases, this partnership brings together two innovators with a shared mission: to make high-quality, patient-centered eye care more seamless, accessible, and effective worldwide. By pairing VirtuaLens’ immersive decision-making tool with Virtual Vision’s global distribution network, this partnership will accelerate access—bringing the technology to more practices and patients than ever before.

The partnership allows Virtual Vision Health to distribute the VirtuaLens IOL Simulator, expanding its offerings beyond diagnostics into advanced patient education through immersive VR. For VirtuaLens, the collaboration leverages Virtual Vision Health’s established market presence to accelerate adoption among doctors and patients. Under the agreement, Virtual Vision Health will lead commercialization and serve as a distribution partner in the United States and Brazil, while VirtuaLens remains responsible for product development, sales, and ongoing customer support. Distribution in all other international markets will continue to be managed directly through VirtuaLens and its global distribution partners.

“We’re excited to partner with Virtual Vision Health, whose trusted technology is transforming eye care,” said John Branch, MD, VirtuaLens CEO & Co-Founder. “As a Virtual Vision customer, I know firsthand how meaningful the technology is for patients and providers. This partnership with Virtual Vision will help VirtuaLens scale quickly and innovate for clinicians and patients alike.”

The VirtuaLens is now available in the U.S. and Brazil. VirtuaLens has formed a strategic distribution partnership with Virtual Vision Health, providing direct sales in the U.S. and Brazil. The company plans to work with additional EUMEA global distribution partners to establish registration and availability in the coming months.

This partnership follows GOVO Venture Partners investment in Virtual Vision Health and addition of VirtuaLens as a portfolio company, providing additional resources to accelerate innovation, product development, and market expansion
